Warranty
VP Security’s website, vpsecurity.com.au, provides the following warranty conditions for its products:
- All Hikvision cameras, recording devices (NVRs/DVRs), intercoms, and access control have a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty.
- All Dahua cameras, recording devices (NVRs/DVRs), and intercoms have a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty.
- All Uniview cameras and recording devices (NVRs/DVRs) have a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty.
- All intercom products have a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty.
- The warranty is limited to the replacement of faulty items or parts and does not include damage due to incorrect fitting of parts or accessories.
If a product is eligible for repair, customers can submit repair requests within the warranty period to receive free repairs. If returning products cannot be replaced or repaired, the customer’s credit card will be reimbursed for the initial purchase amount.
It is essential to note that the warranty is at risk if non-AU firmware is installed into the device. Installing other region firmware may brick your device. Additionally, the warranty does not cover power surges or issues caused by incorrect installation.
For consumer law, return, refund, and exchange policy, VP Security’s liability is governed solely by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and these Terms. Customers may be entitled to a replacement, refund, or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage if goods fail to meet the Consumer Guarantees under the ACL. If the product comes with a manufacturer’s warranty, customers should check the manufacturer’s warranty, as it may overlap with any rights and remedies they may have under applicable law.
If customers wish to seek repair, replacement, or refund for a product, they should contact VP Security for further guidance, including providing evidence of the faulty product. If the product has been used, connected, installed, or attempted to be connected or installed, or if it is a custom-made or special buy product, VP Security will not accept returns.
Customers have a duty of care for the product while it is in their possession. If customers damage products and subsequently return them, they may be liable to pay for the repair of the product. Customers are responsible for arranging the return delivery and associated costs.
