The HiLook HIL-IPC-T261H is a 6MP outdoor turret camera with a 2.8 fixed lens and an IR range of 30m and includes a mic. It can provide clear imaging against strong back light due to 120dB true WDR technology and is perfect for outdoors as it is water and dust resistant with a IP67 rating.

HiLook by Hikvision is a very cost effective range which was introduced to fulfil the needs of entry level customers who operate their business in the lower end of the video surveillance market. It is as reliable as the traditional Hikvision range, however it doesn’t include the features and benefits of the Hikvision branded product range. HIL-IPC-T261H deploys IntelliSense with human and vehicle classification to generate alarm events. These are perfect for controlled installations however they are not as accurate as Hikvision’s official AcuSense range and are not suitable in harsh environments.

What Kinds of Weather Can Outdoor Security Cameras Handle?

Any outdoor camera worth its salt should be able to withstand exposure to the elements and carry an ingress protection (IP) rating. The IP rating consists of two digits that tell you how well the camera holds up under most weather conditions. The first digit after the IP prefix tells you how resistant the camera is to ingress from solid objects such as wind-blown dust and ranges from 0 (no protection) to 6 (total protection against dust and dirt).
